Life is like the wind
Calm and gentle
Then sudden gusts and
Great storms that blow

Life is like a flower
It blooms for a while
Then the color fades
The leaves crack and die

Life is like the sun
Bright and cheery
Hot enough to burn
But it always sets in time

Life is like the rain
Like the tears that wet my face
But wash away pain
And help love grow

Life is hell without Christ
So painful and broken
But Jesus will give strength
And joy as only he can
