(Rom 5:15 KJV) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Free Gift? When was the last time you "paid" for a free gift?? Does God understand what he said here? Does not Catholisim demand you DO something to EARN a free gift? Doesn't the word gift mean "FREE" all by itself? Did God put the word free in front of gift to make SURE we wouldn't make the mistake of THINKING we had to do something to get it? Just asking.
Rom 5:16 KJV) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Are not the requirements to attend mass, confess sins to the "priest" (unscripturally called "father"), pay money to get your loved ones out of a non-biblical place called "purgatory" and other required practices something you must DO to earn salvation. If they are not, and salvation is a free gift, why don't you know if you have it for sure or not? Just wondering.
(Rom 5:17 KJV) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

(Rom 5:18 KJV) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

(Rom 6:23 KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You know you can't live up to all that you are supposed to be. Confessing to the priest and then going back to your old ways each week doesn't cut it, and you know it! Why not just humble yourself, ask God for his Free Gift by faith. I mean just believe the word of God and forget all that "tradition" stuff.

The BOOK says " And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, (Acts 16:31 KJV)

Please just give it some thought and consideration. I would be glad to discuss the whole issue with anyone in a friendly way. Let us know what you think.
